How much would you pay for a game in which you expect to win infinite money? Can both gamblers have the advantage in a bet against one another? How can a trend that is present in two populations reverse itself when those populations are combined? We will explore these and other paradoxes in probability. Some will be resolved, but others are disagreed on by experts and leave plenty of room for debate.
Refreshments will be served in the lounge at 4:00 PM.
