We present a recent result of Munteanu-Wang. It states that there are no complete noncompact shrinking Ricci solitons with positive sectional curvature. We also review previous examples of Kaehler-Ricci solitons due to Cao, Koiso, Feldman-Ilmanen-Knopf.
