I will present and explain some recent results on several aspects of the theory of random maps: metric-space scaling limits; models of random growth; canonical embeddings and their limits; and decompositions and connectivity. Parts of this are joint work with Marie Albenque, Nicholas Leavitt, and Yuting Wen.
