I will give a quick introduction to symplectic geometry, and describe one of its main tools, the momentum map. I will introduce moment polytopes. I will discuss how their combinatorics can in some cases classify the corresponding symplectic manifolds. The talk will be motivated by plentiful examples and many pictures.
