In this seminar series, we will give an introduction to the mean curvature flow. We will first define mean curvature flow and talk about the short time existence theorem. Then, we will present the maximum principle and its applications to mean curvature flow. Finally, we will discuss about the type I and type II singularities of mean curvature flow.
