Combinatorics of non-commutative probability
Monday, October 28, 2013 - 2:30pm
Malott 206
I will describe the part that combinatorics plays in non-commutative probability theories, focusing on Voiculescu's free probability and the q-deformed probability of Bozejko and Speicher, as well as introduce a more recent two-parameter deformation. We will emphasize the structural role of combinatorial statistics on permutations and set partitions in Fock space constructions and moment formulae.
