Dynkin diagrams originaly classify simple Lie algebras. Surprisingly these diagrams can also classify finite subgroups of SU(2), quivers of finite representation type, simple singularities, cluster algebras of finite type, also some types of rational conformal field theories and other objects. Isn't that mysterious enough? We will discuss the first four examples. No special knowledge is required.
Refreshments will be served in the lounge at 3:55.
